Terms and Conditions

The rules of the challenge in plain words. Last updated 21 September 2026.

1. The challenge

The AI Song Challenge ("the challenge") is run by PACS AI, Mangalore. It is free to enter. By sending an entry, you agree to these terms.

2. Who can enter

  • Any student who is in Class 8, 9 or 10 when they enter, at any school or board.
  • If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms. By ticking the box on the entry form, you confirm that they have.
  • Families of the PACS AI team can take part, but can't win the prize.

3. How to enter

  • Make a song with an AI music website and send us its link through the form on the challenge page.
  • One song per student. If you send more than one, we judge the latest.
  • The closing date will be announced on the challenge page. Entries that arrive after it won't be judged.

4. Your song

  • The idea must be the student's own. The words should be written by the student. AI help is allowed, as long as you tell us how much on the form.
  • It must not copy the lyrics or music of an existing song, or ask for a real singer's name or voice.
  • It must not name, copy or make fun of real people, and must not include anything rude, hurtful or unsafe.
  • It must be made following the AI website's own rules, including its age rules. For example, Suno is for ages 13 and up, and needs a parent's permission for anyone under 18.
  • We may remove or disqualify any entry that breaks these rules.

5. Judging

The PACS AI team judges every entry on three things: the idea, the words, and how well the style fits the song. The judges' decision is final.

6. The prize

  • The best song wins ₹500. There is one winner.
  • We'll contact the winner on the WhatsApp number given in the entry. If we can't reach them within 7 days, we may choose another winner.
  • For a student under 18, the prize is paid to their parent or guardian by UPI or bank transfer. It can't be swapped for anything else.
  • Results will be announced on the challenge page.

7. Sharing songs

The student keeps whatever rights they have in their song, under the AI website's own terms. By entering, you let PACS AI play shortlisted and winning songs at its events, and post them on its website and social media with the student's first name and class only. You can ask us to take a song down at any time.

8. Your details

  • What we collect: the student's name, class, school and city, the song's title, link and description, and a parent or guardian's name and WhatsApp number.
  • Why: only to run the challenge: judging, contacting the winner and paying the prize. If you tick the box for course news, we'll also message you about PACS AI courses. Reply STOP at any time to stop them.
  • Who sees them: only the PACS AI team. We store them with Google, and never sell them or give them to anyone else.
  • How long we keep them: until 6 months after the results, then we delete them, unless you've asked us to keep in touch.
  • Your choice: message us on WhatsApp to see, correct or delete your details at any time.

9. Everything else

  • PACS AI is not connected to Suno or any other AI music website.
  • We may change these terms, or end the challenge early if we have to. Any change will be posted on this page.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of India.
